Responsible for directing the engineering activities and overall design for the United Utilities, Inc.  TERRA Southwest project ($84M).  This project is a hybrid fiber/microwave system that will provide high speed connectivity to a portion of the State of Alaska that is entirely dependent on satellite based communications systems.  The scope of the engineering and design includes:  microwave path design, primary AC power generation and DC power sources and distribution, grounding systems, facility environmentals including heating, ventilating and air conditioning (HVAC), hydrogen detection, full automation of remote, unmanned power generation, integration of all new network elements into the GCI operational network control structure, equipment selection for all systems being deployed by this project. Additional responsibilities: maintaining project, maintenance and operating capital budgets to meet corporate financial goals.
